BACKGROUND

Stuart Hameroff, MD, (Born in 1947 Buffalo, New York) is an
anesthesiologist and professor at the University of Arizona. He is best
known for his promotion of the scientific study of consciousness, and
his speculative theories of the possible quantum mechanisms of
consciousness.
