Call for Papers

"Thinking aloud" will be a two-day conference held on Friday and Saturday February 27th - 28th 2009. The program will include keynote speakers followed by panel discussions, parallel sessions giving both theoretical and practical presentations, dialogue sessions with the participation of children and teenagers, poster sessions and curriculum displays. The program will finish with a discussion among all participants about what has emerged and how we can continue the development of philosophy in the schools in the Nordic-Baltic area.

Conference guests will be invited to various activities before and after the conference day. A workshop on teaching philosophy to young children will be held February 25th-26th 2009. School visits will be organized on February 27th and on March 1st there will be a program for travelling and socialization.

We invite scholars to submit proposals for papers on any topic related to philosophy in schools. Papers should be 20 minutes in length.

The deadline for submissions for proposals is 5th January 2009.
